About the weather
24 AugIt’s blue skies and everything nice with our weather. What a relief. We often take blessings for granted until they’ve been taken away. When it’s hot, we complain about the sizzling weather. When it pours, oh what a damper. When it’s hazy, we hanker for the sun and the rain.
In the thick of the haze, when the fires were still raging in Sumatra, when no relief was in sight, people turned to divine guidance. And God came through for us.
Charlie

Yesterday I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with the kids. It was a wonderful show, colourful, creative, entertaining. It was great to see Roald Dahl’s book turned into a movie though they added stuff and took away some. For instance, there was no mention of Willy Wonka’s father in the book, in the movie there was. In the movie one parent accompanied each child, in the book two parents chaperoned each child except for Charlie who only had Grandpa Joe. The movie turned Willy Wonka into a cold, enigmatic character, the book’s Wonka was jovial and lively. Still, it was an entertaining show with morals dished out in the most delectable way. Get the book for your children to read.
