Not in a nice mood, no thanks to the kids and frankly, getting quite sick of being a chauffeur. So it’s in this bleh! mood that I’m writing this snarky post on the ugliest cars on our road:
Tiara – beaten-up match-box. The name is a definite misnomer. Tiara my head!
Savvy – overweight frog. How can fat be savvy?!
Juara – stunted colgate box. Not enough metal to make the car-lah.
Kangoo – coffin car or if your imagination is wild, it can look like a kangaroo at rest.
Though Myvi looks like a frog too, I like it cos its shapely and woo-wit!

And most of them are pretty rainproofless and soundproofless. Othewise they would not be called “pun tay chiar” without these characteristics.
LOL, not in a nice mood also can write so nice one ah?
Some more, the critism is so mild, there’s not a cruel bone in your body. Hehe.
Now you got me curious, I must go and check the shape to the names of these cars.
Lydia, remind me pls…there’s one that I saw – (In fact several) that looks like a bread van – how awful!
KK, next you’ll be telling me they’re Milo tins, haha.
Judy, Cannot be so cruel- at least not in public lah.
Kak Teh, I think the bread van is that Juara-lah.
Aiyah, see lah, that’s why I don’t like to blog so much, always making spelling or grammatical errors.
I meant to spell ‘criticism’. I sound like I very ‘kia su’ right? Not really lah, just don’t like making mistakes. Hehehe. Oklah, oklah, I ‘kia su’ so now the whole world knows.
I checked the shapes of all the Malaysian cars (Proton?), my goodness, so many, my head is spinning already. How do you guys remember what shape is what name?
rexton – an oversized kembara that could cost several real kembaras
ssangyong stavic – there’s something wrong about its shape. looks like an old van which wouldn’t make a classic in the future.
I cant remember half the names of the cars you named in this entry! I takda kisah about cars wan. To me, got steering wheel, all three pedals (two in most cases today), four wheels, breaks, air-con, radio (got CD player even better), seat belts, seat…ok lah….it’s a car lah! Can look like ikan bilis also never mind….hee hee hee…. imagine that!
Judy, If you’re here in Malaysia, you WIll remember what’s what, but then again not. See Marsha’s comment.
fifi, these cars are not very common on our road, so I can’t visualize what they look like but if I’m not mistaken, they’re huge cars, aren’t they.
Marsha, so look like tadple also can lah?
This is funny. Hope you’re in a better mood now.
Actually, the Juara looks like a tissue box.
There’s another car, can’t recall the name, it looks like a toad. There’s this advert in USJ (not sure if it’s still there), and look carefully, you’ll see a toad.
There’s also this van, that has a realllly high roof. It looks so unstable when taking corners.
We call the Juara the “Kereta Kotak” ~~ so ugly!!!
The Kangoo – despite it’s unappealing shape, is very spacious (been in one already).
Lina, yeap, thanks. Juara does look like a tissue box and I think the toad is the Savvy, isn’t it? Yes, I remember the van with the high roof, I think it’s for extra tall people one.
Queen, I’ve had a peek at the Kangoo and like you said, it is really spacious inside. Well, at least that’s one redeeming feature.
I dislike the ‘backside’ of Honda City too. So butt ugly! While the Tiara looks bad, the Savvy looks like a toad that’s squashed… oh yeah a toad with a hunch too. The MyVi looks like a fat girl with a fat skirt but she’s cute and comfy so that’s all I care about. The Kelisa or Mr Bean’s car is even worse. Why does anyone want a Kelisa? A cool car for me is possibly the Toyota Camry, in pure black please. Elegance!
Maya, Kelisa is not so bad what considering the affordable price tag. Black Camry, my friend has one, very stylo-mylo.
