Ideas for book 7

27 Feb

Tears have been shed, sleep lost, appetite gone, health suffered. It is time to move on. Ma would have wanted that. I will one day write about my mother.

But for now, I need to work on the next book which is book 7. In case you are wondering, book 6 will be out this year: Fun for Kids in Malaysia published by Marshall Cavendish. It’s a guidebook on where to go and what to do to have fun, relevant for kids aged 3 to 18.  Book 5 was Stretching Your Dollars and Sense and Book 4 was Do You Wear Suspenders.

Fans of book 3, Honk! If You’re Malaysian and book 2, Life’s Like That have been clamouring for a new book of a similar nature. You can say the book is half-written as I already have a collection of articles which were published in Yellow Post, the free weekly newspaper put out by Telekom for a short period. I need to expand them and put in more articles.

If there is anything you want to suggest for book 7, please let me know. It can be about a Malaysian idiosyncracy or some people’s annoying traits or some pesky pests (human or otherwise). Any input will be much appreciated.

Goodbye, Ma

I can’t write about my mother yet. Tears still flow, my heart is still heavy. She left us on Saturday 23 January 2010 at seven something in the evening  after suffering a heart attack at UH.

Goodbye, Ma. You were the greatest mum, daughter, wife, sister, aunt, friend and neighbour. We miss you so very much.
